SPLIT STEEL DRUM (REAR ROLLER) FINISHED WITH RIBBED VULCANISED RUBBER

  • STEEL: The striping effect of grass is caused by the weight of the steel drum as it rolls the grass flat. The weight also keeps the machines stable on its cutting surface
  • SPLIT: The split drum allows for easy maneuverability with less damage to your lawn.
  • VULCANIZED: The process of vulcanization is a special application of rubber to the steel which means it will last longer and will not slip off the steel or wear as a rubber sleeve would. This also means the machine can be transported over concrete
  • RIBBED: The ribbed rollers assist with grip / movement of the machine up an incline

  • HEAT-TREATED: The reel blade will last longer as it is more durable

Rotary vs Reel

Quality of Grass Cutting: The bottom blade and the cutting reel together create a precision scissor cut to every blade of grass – perfectly, every time. This generates healthy, even grass regrowth which gets better over time. If maintained correctly, it is superior to that of the ‘hacking’, ‘chopping’ or ‘smashing’ action of a rotary mower.
