What is the grass catcher made from?

The grass catcher is rotomolded using Low-Density Linear Polyethylene (LLDPE). This gives it ultra-high strength and relatively low weight.

Are the blades of the TB18 hardened?

Yes, both the standard high vane and scarifying blades are heat treated to ensure longevity of the blade.

How long does it take to change the blades on the TB18?

Your first try will take you about 10 minutes. From there on it shouldn’t take you more than 5-7 minutes to change them out. All you need for the job is a 17mm wrench. Remember to always tilt your mower towards the exhaust to prevent your engine flooding.

What is the thickness of the chassis?

The chassis is pressed from 2mm (18 gauge) steel.

What material are the wheels made from?

The wheels are made from a combination of a high strength nylon rim and a rubber tire. This reduces vibrations on harder surfaces and minimizes the noise of the mower.

Do the wheels have bushes or ball bearings?

Each wheel consists of 2 sealed ball bearings. These 8 bearings ensure that you do not need to worry about your wheels for 

What is the cutting width of the TB18?

The mower has a cutting width of 18 inches

Why do you use swing blades over a bar blade?

Swing blades protect the engine from any impact with hard objects such as stones. When an object is hit, the blade moves away rather than transferring the energy through the engine shaft. They are also a lot quicker and cheaper to replace.

How often should I service my TB18?

We recommend an annual service for the engine on your TB18. The normal annual service on your engine will involve checking the air filter, spark plugs and oil.
